[Making a Line]
Making a Line shows the artist moving along a beach, dragging her foot in the sand to try to make a line. The waves move in and out and wash away the line. This Sisyphus-like illustration deals with the frustrations of making art. The futility of making a mark that is systematically erased, and the energy spent in the action, which in this case debilitates movement forward, causing the subject to move in a jerky, almost psychosomatic way.
